Tom is based in Northcote but can deliver his services from Albany to Takapuna. For over 10 years he has accumulated extensive experience in lawnmowing, hedge-trimming and gardening. Tom is motivated and always works hard to achieve the best result for his clients. He loves to try all the major brands and with over ten years with the company, he’s tried most of them including Victa, Stihl, Shindaiwa, and Husqvarna.

Before residing in New Zealand, Tom graduated from university with a Bachelor of Engineering and worked as an engineer and project manager in China for over 13 years. He chose Crewcut to be closer to nature. Instead of being stuck in an office, he is happy to work in the outdoors. He also wanted to have a more relaxed and flexible life, and he knew he could achieve that with Crewcut. Tom runs his business by himself, but will never turn down help if the job proves to be big enough.

Tom takes part in his church’s choir and has even gone overseas with them to perform. When he isn’t harmonising he loves to watch as much sport as he can. Whether it’s basketball, football, volleyball or rugby, he’ll be happy to watch. When Tom started with Crewcut he had to learn how to use all these different pieces of equipment, and how to communicate with Kiwis. For any new operators, Tom’s advice is to be prepared to shift from office work to labour work if that is your scenario. Also, make sure to take all measures necessary when it comes to your safety.
