For over 5 years, Coen has serviced the East Auckland suburbs including Howick, Bucklands Beach, Pakuranga, Cockle Bay, Mellons Bay, Shamrock Park, Dannemora, and East Tamaki. He is geared up with a Honda catcher mower, Victa mulcher mower, and Stihl hedge trimmers and blowers. His main focus is lawn mowing, that way he can keep a consistent and reliable service. But he also takes on a lot of gardening jobs, especially when the grass growth slows down.

Coen was a chef for seven years, cooking in cafes and restaurants before he moved to Crewcut. He wanted to improve his and his family’s life so he decided a business for himself would work. He had a friend who was already in Crewcut and talked to him about the opportunities. From there he was sold on the idea and has been with Crewcut ever since.

Coen carries out the service with a regular helper so the job can be completed faster and to a better standard. His wife Flora helps out with the paperwork as well so that’s another stress off him. He’s maintained a lot of his customers for a long time now because he’s always doing his best to be punctual and leave a tidy job. When he isn’t providing his services he gets into his sports. He will either go for a swim or try to play soccer when he has the time. He has learnt most of his skills as an operator from spending time with other lawn mowing operators who have shown him how to do certain things. He has also found working in this role has helped his English improve as he uses it everyday for his customers. Coen has introduced other friends to Crewcut, as he finds it to be great if you want to organise your own time and work the hours you want while still earning decent money for the work you do.
