From lawn mowing to gardening, tree pruning to hedge trimming, there’s almost nothing he won’t do!

Kerry has been with Crewcut since 2016. Before he became an expert in lawn care, he was a truck driver in the waste industry. When an injury inspired him to make big changes in his life, a franchise in lawn care was one of them. He saw an ad for Crewcut, liked the idea of flexibility, and set his life in a new direction.

Now, he makes his way around Wellington, putting a smile on the faces of all his clients. Kerry deals with all parts of the job himself – including the bookwork – and his son helps him out during the school holidays. He would one day like to take on staff and increase his client base to help more people in a larger area.

It’s clear to see that Kerry has made a name for himself in Wellington with Crewcut, and he thinks this is down to self-motivation and discipline. Kerry always goes the extra mile, works hard, and doesn’t undersell himself. He believes he prices his work based on its quality, and it pays off.

When he’s not working hard for his clients, he’s taking time for himself. Kerry is in a band and loves nothing more than to play with his mates, jam on the guitar, and even go tenpin bowling.

Kerry now has enough experience in the industry to offer advice to others who may like to enter lawn care in the future. He believes you need to get busy, put the work in, and realise the first stretch is going to be difficult. Once you work through that, you’ll be “stable in no time.”
