Todd joined Crewcut in the middle of 2019 as part of the Rotorua crew. He offers lawn mowing, spraying, gardening, hedge trimming, and water blasting work. On top of that, he is also able to deliver tree services being an experienced arborist himself. He covers places all over Rotorua from Mangakakahi to Okere Falls for majority of his services and prefers to use Stihl hedge trimmers, line trimmers, blowers, and other tools under this brand when doing his work.

Todd had a background in forestry so it only made sense to join a company in a similar industry. “I was going to move down the coast, but my son wasn’t ready to come with me so I bought the business. I want to be able to carry it on so I can look after my son,” he said. “I just saw the business for sale. I’m glad I really did because the amount of work that I want was more than readily available at all times it seems.”

His goal for is Crewcut franchise is to run the business for himself and then have something to hand down to his son. When asked about what’s been keeping him busy other than the business, he said he’s just been working and enjoying getting out each day. He also shares that most of his time is spent taking care of his son who had an accident. The rest of the remaining time, he spends motorbike riding.

After over half a year with the company, he said he’s learned a lot because he’s never gotten the chance to run his own business before. He says he learned a lot about self-discipline and how he’s supposed to just keep going especially on days when it’s too hot or when it rains all day.

“Be prepared. Be fit. Be prepared to do whatever you have to do to keep the customer happy,” Todd says.
