Although he’s only been with Crewcut since July 2019, he provides top-notch professional services to people who require any of the above services using his favourite Husqvarna gear.

Before joining Crewcut, Phil worked in the baking industry for 38 years looking after operations, technical, and R&D aspects of large manufacturing plants and organisations within New Zealand and Australia. He has always enjoyed outdoor living, so now that he’s shifted from the corporate side of his professional career, he believes having a lawn and garden business would best suit his purpose of leading a more active, healthier lifestyle.

When asked why he picked Crewcut, he said that it had a lot to do with the company being purely New Zealand-owned, developed, and operated.

Phil says that since joining Crewcut, he has learned how to change his method of communication. The work he has done in the past is very different to what he does now, so he emphasises that communicating directly with customers and meeting individual needs and requirements is an important focus to ensure that customers are happy.

When he’s not taking care of his clients in Whangarei, Phil tends to his own lifestyle block, enjoys sailing and spends any spare time with family and the new additions of grandkids. His advice to newcomers wanting to get into the business is to know what you want from a life balance point of view, do your due diligence and ask lots of questions —  there is no such thing as a silly question. Make sure you enjoy what you are doing.
