With a focus on lawn mowing in Papamoa, Te Puke, and Welcome Bay, Steve utilises his Stihl tools and Walker ride on to provide this service for his customers. With an interesting working career including being an orderly, taking horses by ship to Australia and most recently, owning a window cleaning business, he was ready for another challenge. He had always liked the idea of a ride on lawn mowing business.

With his experience in running smaller businesses, he knew he wanted something already set up with a bit of support. So when it came time to look for a business, he found Crewcut and grabbed the opportunity. Now he is at a comfortable pace of life and always thinking about growing his round where he needs to. 

A big dream of his is to own a yacht and to go sailing in his spare time. So by growing his business he is hoping to get to that point soon enough. Steve has found that having decent hand-eye coordination truly helps with the business. He also finds that he really enjoys the work he does. All of his previous jobs made him feel like going home throughout the day but now finds that he takes joy in the work he is carrying out. His advice to those who are thinking of joining up with a lawn mowing franchise is to be prepared for the wear and tear you can find with your gear. You should also have a healthy nest egg when you transition to owning a new business as it will add to your own comfort.
