I joined Crewcut in 2019 and started serving customers in the Rangitikei area. I offer predominantly lawn mowing services for a regular client base and enjoy meeting new customers and discussing their requirements. I also provide hedge trimming, tree pruning and weed spraying along with other more unusual services such as lawn dethatching, broadleaf spraying and waterblasting.

I use mostly petrol powered equipment such as husqvarna line trimmer and blower due to their reliability and ease of use. My Testarossa lawn mower allows me to mow when the conditions may not be the greatest like dewy mornings or after a heavy rain, and my Walker ride-on is ideal due to its reliability and allows me to mow much larger than average lawns.

After a long professional career including 7 years in New Zealand Army and 13 years in Railways ( Kiwi Rail ) I decided that I would try being self-employed for a change of pace. Being Hawkes Bay born and bred I enjoy the outdoors and fresh air. I moved to Manawatu in 1996 during my army service and grew to know the Rangitikei area very well with its great views and many outdoor activities. I chose to join Crewcut because they are a very reputable company that provide a great service while maintaining high professionalism and a strong health and safety etiquette.

As a self-employed business owner it gives me the flexibility to take time off when needed, but also the ability to knuckle down and get the work done when necessary. Self motivation is a big factor in this line of work but also the ability to step back and relax when the conditions like weather are not so favorable.
