Ken prides himself on always going the extra mile, especially when it comes to lawn mowing. He uses only the best equipment on each and every customer’s lawns – ensuring a job well done every time. Ken has picked up many valuable skills on the job, but he also attributes much of his care and expertise to his past work.

He has been with Crewcut since 2016 but also used to work as a groundsman. He is used to working with trees and hedges and even played a part in the construction and maintenance of football fields. Prior to that, he worked as a night shift supervisor looking after injection moulding machine with 12 staff.

Ken, who comes from Auckland, made a move to Palmerston North to be closer to his son and his family. Once he saw the branding for Crewcut, he wondered whether the work-life balance could be for him. He bought a franchise and hasn’t looked back.

He carries out lawn mowing and other lawn care services with his Stihl power tools and Testarossa lawn mower. He also enjoys the socialisation side of his job, with customer communication a highlight of his daily work.
