Suspension of Services

These are unprecedented time. This is not a practice and there’s no playbook so it’s not a time to panic. We are in a great industry sector in lawn mowing and many families outside our industry sector are already struggling at the moment. With everyone’s co-operation, we will all get through this.

From 11.59 pm Wednesday, all non-essential services will shut. Your civic duty is to self-isolate and stay at home. You can, of course, buy groceries and the supply in this country is excellent. Please abide fully with the law.

We mow for many elderly and people that could be put into harm’s way by people flouting the laws. Prepare your family and keep them close. We will be active on WhatsApp as a group and Facebook as a group. Also, you can call us anytime. We also use Zoom for face-to-face conference calling.

Your health and well-being is our utmost priority. Please stay at home from Wednesday. Use Tuesday to get organised. We recommend that you put in for the wage supplement ASAP and we have provided links below.

Once shut down commences we all have a lot of time to communicate. These last two weeks have been challenging. Going forward with your co-operation, we will all make it through to the other side.

Thank you,

David Serville
CEO Crewcut Franchise Group Ltd

COVID-19: What Alert Levels 3 and 4 Mean to You

Due to the recent developments concerning COVID-19, the government has announced lifting New Zealand to Alert Level 3 immediately and to Alert Level 4 after 48 hours, where it will remain for four weeks. Our business does not fall under “essential services” which means you will not be able to deliver a lawn service from Wednesday and the next four weeks following this day.

Tuesday afternoon is last delivery until further notice. Please make sure you are observing all preventive measures with emphasis on social distancing while you complete these jobs.

For the next four (4) weeks, you will not be mowing lawns. No Crewcut franchise should provide services without further instructions from head office or your RMFs. This might change in the near future once we get additional information from the government. We’ll make sure to inform you if there are updates or changes.

Under Level 3 (Tuesday only):

  • Travel in areas with clusters or community transmission limited

  • Affected educational facilities closed

  • Mass gatherings cancelled

  • Public venues closed (e.g. libraries, museums, cinemas, food courts, gyms, pools, amusement parks)

  • Alternative ways of working required and some non-essential businesses should close

  • Non face-to-face primary care consultations

  • Non acute (elective) services and procedures in hospitals deferred and healthcare staff reprioritised

Under Level 4 (From Wednesday onwards):

  • People instructed to stay at home

  • Educational facilities closed

  • Businesses closed except for essential services (e.g. supermarkets, pharmacies, clinics) and lifeline utilities

  • Rationing of supplies and requisitioning of facilities

  • Travel severely limited

  • Major reprioritisation of healthcare services
